Aamir’s Unique Style to Promote “3 Idots”
Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan accomplishes his every work in unique style; this time for the promotion of his much talked about movie he went to Banaras (Varanasi). Hiding his original identity, Aamir roamed in the city for three days.
Aamir who has put on a disguising act in the seven cities promotion tour of the movie “3 Idots” reached Varanasi on Friday.
Aamir disguised as a “Banarasi Babu” and roam in Varanasi. He made his first appearance in the city riding on a rickshaw and chewing the famous ‘Banarasi Paan’ to promote “3 Idots”.
In the disguising act, Aamir, who reached Varanasi on 11 December, traveled through the narrow lanes of the holy city and searched his mother, Zeenat’s birth place in Teliyanala area, near the Prahlad Ghat.
Aamir stayed for three days in Varanasi. He disguised as an old man wearing a simple shirt and hid his face with a muffler and old sunglasses. Before leaving Varanasi Aamir went to his mother’s birth place Khwaja Manzil in Teliyanala mohalla which is in decaying condition.
Aamir told reporters before leaving the city, “Was in your amazing city. It was a very emotional experience for me.”
Ramlakhan Paswan, rickshaw-puller who drove Aamir everywhere, said, “Aamir got really emotional when he found the birth place of his mother.” He also told that, “He was sporting a white beard so no one could identify him.” He suddenly revealed his identity and asked the people in Bhojpuri, `Ka Guru ee Banaras hau, Aamir Khan ke na pahachan pailen`(Don`t you recognise Aamir Khan).”
The 44 year old actor has asked ‘Master Blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar to endorse his movie, who gave the first clue about his whereabouts.
Sachin said, “I don’t know anything more than this,” and he read out the clue in Hindi, “Kahan jaoon kaise jaoon, itne sawal kaise suljaoon, kabhi to sochoon main udd jaoon. Kabhi sadak pe car bhagaoon, ya chuk chuk gaadi ko aazmaoon, chahe main jaise bhi jaoon, maa ke aangan mein raat bitaoon.”
This was the first of the seven clues Aamir gave to search him out as he travels to seven cities in disguise, spending one or two days in each.
After leaving Varanasi, the actor is headed to unknown second destination. For searching Aamir the next clue is “Andheri Kaali Raat mein aaunga main, Khooni Darwaja Khat khataunga main, Aap mujh tak pahunche na par koi baat nahin, Kahin par apni chhap chhod jaunga main.”
