Sharmila Tagore, who is the chair person of the CBFC, was in Jodhpur to attend 120th Censor Board meeting. A source asked her about the much awaited wedding of Saifeena. She said, “We are very happy about their marriage. Kareena is an intelligent girl”.

Saif and Kareena both were in the lime light from the time they have admitted their affair publicly. Both the stars have spoken about their relationship for several times. But none of them have spoke about the marriage. Sharmila Tagore is the first family member, who assured that marriage is on the cards and the couple will get married very soon.

He added, “I know for sure that my mother is a great authority when it comes to the censors. My own ‘Kurbaan’ has got an ‘A’ certificate and I know where she is coming from”.

The gossip was aired that Vishal Bharadwaj’s “Kaminey” was given ‘A’ certificate because Shahid was once in a relationship with Saif’s current beau Kareena. But Saif said, “Any talks of personal enmity are completely fictional. I don’t even know the actual people involved who spread such rumors and frankly I don’t care. Such things don’t even enter my radar”. The actor continued, “It’s really rubbish if some people feel so. ‘Kurbaan’ getting an ‘A’ certificate is hardly a fitting reply. It’s a sad state of affairs when people start speculating about everything and anything. As someone who has been part of the industry for long, I don’t take such things seriously.”

For ‘Kaminey’ he said, “I think Vishal is a wonderful filmmaker and I liked everyone’s performance in the film.”

Saif has never discussed with Sharmila about the ‘A’ certificates for “Kurbaan” or “Kaminey”. He said, “No, I don’t talk about any particular movie per se but I do know of her general views and opinions when it comes to censoring a film”. He added, “She doesn’t have any problems with anything shown on screen. But, yes, she has problems with things that are shown to children. She will ban something if there is something which is inflammatory. Of course, she is the right judge of things and may be I don’t know everything that she looks at in a movie during censoring. What I know for sure is that she is a good mother and follows the same caring attitude when it comes to censorship as well”.

People who have seen the rushes agreed that the scene is going to be too steamy for regular Indian audience. It is a big risk, which the director is going to take for the venture.

On the contrary, the director of the film said, “A certain section of the sex-starved audience might just comet to the theatres just to see Saif and Kareena in bed”.

So we guess this scene brings an opportunity to fulfill the hidden passion for the still to be married officially love crazed couple!

“As a Muslim I feel proud of the fact that I have done this film. This is one of the most socially relevant films today. It is good that it is coming at just the time when our country needs cinema like this,” Saif told IANS in an interview.

Set in the US, “Kurbaan” is a romantic thriller with terrorism as its backdrop. This film is being produced by Karan Johar and directed by debutant Rensil D’Silva. Slated to release on Nov 27, “Kurbaan” also stars Kareena Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Dia Mirza, Kirron Kher and Om Puri.

Saif reveals that he now has a new career plan in place. “I would now be working on two-three films a year and make sure that I cover a wide spectrum. While a couple of them would be big, nice commercial films, another would be a relatively smaller film that can be completed in 30 days flat.”

One of the sources close to the actor said “Just after the release of Race, a leading corporate house approached him with a 30 crore offer, but to their surprise, he turned down the offer saying, he’s not interested in money right now and what he’s looking for is good work. Money can and never will come in the way of his good work. He has never ran after money and after the super success of Race, he knows, big offers will keep pouring in, but he’s extremely cautious about the kind of work he should take up.”

When media asked Saif for his comments, he admitted that he turned down the offer as he doesn’t want to take up more work. And that he has always believed in doing just 2-3 films in a year.

“I have been taken seriously now, and people say that I’m a saleable actor. I choose to believe this. I’m serious enough to be signed with lots of money and interesting performances, that’s all that I want. I will continue to do films at my pace, and that’s why, I have now got into production. The objective is to make commercial, highly entertaining and challenging movies,” he says.

Seems Saif’s too following in the footsteps of the other leading Khan, Aamir Khan.
