According to the latest Bollywood gossip, superstar Shahrukh Khan would wear a suit that cost a crore.

It is said to be one of the costliest costumes that he would wear in his upcoming film RA.ONE. The costume has been specially designed keeping the high end action sequences in mind. The material used in this special costume has been designed in Los Angeles and SRK will be seen wearing it in the film.

RA.ONE is turning out to be one of the costliest films ever attempted. The film will be full of high end action sequences. SRK and his director Anubhav Sinha are going all out to make this film one of the most watched out for movies to hit the screens.

“I’m a Big Fan of Shah Rukh”: Akon

Famous R and B singer Akon, who is in Mumbai to record songs for Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film “Ra.One”, says he is a big fan of the Bollywood’s superstar.

According to the latest Bollywood news, Akon said, “I am a big fan of Shah Rukh. I am very familiar with Shah Rukh’s work. I am meeting Kareena (Kapoor) for the first time today,”

Talking to the reporters in an event, Akon said, “I am also composing (along with singing in “Ra.one”). You know, I will give him (Shah Rukh) a couple of versions of the song, the way I do it. And I will also integrate it with the traditional way the Bollywood films are done. I will give them options and they will decide, which one to use in the film.”

Produced by Shah Rukh’s own production house, “Red Chilies Entertainment”, “Ra.One” will feature Shah Rukh as a superhero.

When reporters asked the singer that if he is willing to do more work with Indian music directors, Akon said, “You will see me doing more things in India soon.”

Talking about African and Indian tradition and entertainment culture the singer said, “You know the tradition in Africa is not different from India. There is same type of entertainment going on, the difference is only in language. I always wanted to expand my horizon, explore and enjoy.”

Akon who will soon go on a world tour is looking forward to his performances in India. He said, “The world tour is coming soon and India is one of my biggest market so I will do number of shows here.”

The singer is also fond of Indian actress Kareena Kapoor. He dedicated two lines from his song “Beautiful” to Kareena, who was present at the event. She is playing the female lead role in “Ra.One”.

Shah Rukh Khan: The Richest Bollywood Actor

People know him by many names like King Khan, Badshah, super star, and now he has become the richest Bollywood actor too. You can have an estimate of his wealth through this news that for a brief appearance of 10-minute on New Year eve in Gurgaon King Khan was reportedly paid Rs 5 crore.

He endorses 34 brands of worth Rs 238 cr. He charges Rs 7-crore for each advertisement. About SRK, Dish TV COO Salil Kapoor, said “What impressed me most was his knowledge of consumer behavior and marketing. He could easily give a lecture at an IIM on the subject,”

Recently Shah Rukh was seen in Karan Johar’s movie ‘My Name is Khan’ in which he played the role of an autistic Muslim man from Mumbai. According to an estimate, the movie added at least Rs 10 crore to SRK’s kitty.

According to the source SRK charges around Rs. 12 crore or share of the profit, to act in a film. He also owns Red Chillies Entertainment production house and IPL Criket team Kolkata Knight Riders of worth Rs 500 crore.

His abundant fortune covers many luxury cars, designer assets, homes in Mumbai, London and Dubai and other real estate investments around Rs. 700 crore. He also charges around 10 crore for an event or function.

Presently, SRK’s worth is estimated to be around Rs 1,500 crore. Adding more to his fortune, now Discovery’s Travel and Living channel is making a show of 10-part series, ‘Living with a Superstar-Shah Rukh Khan’. This will be India’s biggest show whose budget is approximately Rs 20 crore. The series will show different shades of SRK’s life: as a father, a husband, a businessman, and actor.

‘My Name Is Khan’ Could Face Loss of 45 Crores

Bollywood’s most awaited movie ‘My Name Is Khan’ can possibly face big financial loss of up to 45 crores due to the struggle between protesting Shiv Sena workers and the Mumbai police over the release of the film.

Shah Rukh Khan starrer movie is set to release on this Friday, 12 February. The total budget of the film is around Rs 45 crore and its distribution rights are sold to FOX Star Entertainment for Rs 85 crore.

‘My Name Is Khan’ became the subject of rage of Shiv Sena due to the comments of Shah Rukh Khan in which he favored the selection of Pakistani cricket players for IPL-III.

The agitating Shiv Sena workers attacked violently on the advance booking of the movie. The Mumbai police have arrested over 1,200 protesting Shiv Sena workers.

Around 63 theatres in Mumbai have stopped the advance booking on Wednesday. This could lead to a dull opening for the most-awaited Bollywood film of this year.

According to the multiplex association and film analysts, Mumbai and other parts of Maharashtra together contribute a third of the domestic box office collections for big Hindi films. They are unfortunately expecting a huge financial loss in the coming weekend.

‘My Name Is Khan’ will be released with over 2,000 prints and around 300 prints are being released for Maharshtra alone.

A top executive of a leading multiplex in Mumbai said, “If the average footfall in cinema theatre drops to under 35% this weekend in Mumbai coupled with anticipated disruptions and fear among cine goers in Maharashtra, we are looking at a potential loss of Rs 40-45 crore to the film business.”

He added, “Losses on account of the damage to the publicity materials of the film and attacks to various theatres in the past few days have also been factored in.”

Many film exhibitors like Cinemax, Big Cinema, PVR, Inox, etc have stopped advance bookings after incidents of violence and losses to cinema properties in the suburbs of Mumbai.

According to film analysts, any big Hindi film tends to recover almost half its cost in the first three days of the release.

Mumbai-based film distributor said, “My Name Is Khan, with its global release and hype could easily gross over Rs 100 crore within the first week. But with an atmosphere of fear prevailing in Mumbai and elsewhere, a bulk of collections will not come, causing loss to the production, distribution and exhibition business.”

A film analyst said, to compensate the expected loss of business, ‘M N I K’ will make a strong distribution network in overseas markets. Over 100 prints are earmarked for each of the United States, the United Kingdom and the markets in the Gulf region and Southeast Asia. Smaller number of prints will go to other parts of the world including Europe and the African continent.

“I will not Bow Down to Sena’s Protests” Shah Rukh

According to the news, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has declared the he would not bow down to the Shiv Sena’s protests.

Shah Rukh is facing anger of ‘Shiv Sena’ because of his statement in which he said that Pakistani cricketers should be included in the third edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Recently on Sunday some ‘Shiv Sena’ activists, protested near Khan’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai but they were nabbed by police.

After which Mr. Khan said, “I will not bow down to Sena’s protests. I said whatever I think as a proud, righteous Indian,” he said. “I stand on my views on Pakistani players in Indian Premiere League 3.”

In reply to Shah Rukh’s statements, Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab said, “Our leader Balasaheb Thackeray had warned Shah Rukh not to hire Pakistani cricketers. As long as Pakistan continues to sponsor terrorism in India, we will not let any Pakistani player in India.”

But, Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil warned Shiva Sena and said, “Shiv Sena will have to pay through its nose if it indulges in ransacking or disturbing theaters screening movies of actor Shah Rukh Khan.”

Though Shiv Sena has threatened Shah Rukh of continuous agitation but SRK is not ready to bend down against their illegal threats.

Shah Rukh Khan on the Moon

The shining star of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan will soon be on the moon. Seriously a crater on the moon has been named after him.

The hard-core fans of the actor named a crater on the moon, ‘Sea of Tranquility’ after King Khan. The crazy fans persuaded a New York-based organization, International Lunar Geographic Society, to name the crater after their beloved Bollywood super star Shah Rukh Khan.

The International Astronomical Union approved the request of SRK’s fans to name the crater after Shah Rukh Khan. According to a source the crater on the moon, “has been given the honorary designation as the Crater S R Khan on the occasion of Mr Khan`s 44th birthday on November 2, 2009.”

According to the International Lunar Geographic Society, they decided to do so due to the numerous requests from Shah Rukh’s admirers from India and around the world. Not only the crater but one of Shah Rukh’s die-hard fan, has already bought piece of the moon for him.

Now Shah Rukh Khan has joined the league of great people like Nobel laureate C V Raman, father of the Indian space programme Vikram Sarabhai, father of the Indian nuclear programme Homi Bhabha and Indian astrophysicist Meghnad Saha after whom craters have been named.

Like Priyanka Chopra, Karan Johar and Preity Zinta, now Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has also joined the social networking site Twitter.com.

Shah Rukh posted a massage on his Twitter page, “Being extremely shy, I never thought I would be here (on Twitter). But my friend Karan Johar insisted that I should learn to share my life.” He also wrote, “Thanks everyone, this is really sweet…didn’t expect such a warm welcome. Love to you all.”

The superstar, who was seen in only one film “Billu” in 2009, could not attract the attention of the audiences. Explaining about his absence from the big screen SRK wrote, “Injury has kept me away from making more films. Will work my back off to be around more… the shoulder feels strong and so do I.”

Shah Rukh had an arthroscopic surgery for acute pain in his left shoulder at the Breach Candy hospital in south Mumbai last year in February and doctors advised him for complete rest. That is why he was not seen in any other films in 2009.

But now, Shah Rukh is ready with his new and much talked about movie “My Name Is Khan”. Along with Shah Rukh, Kajol is also starring in the movie.

The movie will be releasing on Feb 12. The story of the movie revolves around main character Rizwan Khan (Shah Rukh), who suffers from Asperger syndrome, a form of autism. Rizwan falls in love with a single mother Mandira (Kajol), who lives in San Francisco. One day Rizwan is detained by authorities at Los Angeles International Airport, mistaking his disability for “suspicious” behavior.

Currently Shah Rukh is enjoying his leisure time with wife and kids (Aryan and Suhana).

In his latest message on Twitter, he wrote, “Kids and life calling…watching Tim Burton’s ‘9’ (animated fantasy film directed by Shane Acker) with them…last holiday…so up late…catch up later….”

“I always wanted to be a porn star” Says Shah Rukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan is an actor who is very popular for his sense of humor besides his acting prowess. He is the man who has been considered as the all time romantic hero in the Bollywood film fraternity. Recently, the actor shared his “aspiration” to become a porn star.

Talking about this ambition, Shah Rukh said, “I always wanted to be porn star. I am going to work with all the optimism and clarity to be a porn star”. He also gave an explanation to those pupils who were gathered for a chat with King Khan.

A person from the crowd asked, from where did the inspiration arose? He said, “I have always been a huge fan of Sylvester Stallone who was a porn star before becoming Hollywood superstar”.

Shah Rukh is very famous for his funniest remarks in the public places. The crowd was in for a laugh riot after hearing the next remark in the event. It was like icing on the cake when he said, “I will take my flag and put it up in America after becoming the biggest porn star of the world”.

Arindam Chowdhury read some excerpts from his newly launched book. He gave example of Stallone’s determination and his journey from a porn star to becoming one of the Hollywood’s icons. He also referred Akio Morita, founder of Sony, who started the company with a dream to have his country’s flag flutter high on the soil of US. Aamir Says He Hasn’t Apologize Shah Rukh!

These days you can see the On and off enemies Aamir and Shah Rukh together promoting Amitabh Bachchan’s latest movie ‘Paa’. The two actors who usually disagree with each other and shares bitter relation.

The latest example of their strange relation once again comes up when the humble SRK said that Aamir need not to apologize to him for his comment on blog and in return Aamir said he hasn’t apologize to Shah Rukh.

Aamir cleared that he has apologize to Shah Rukh’s kids as he think that his comment on their father may heart them. He said, “I haven’t apologized to Shah Rukh and I see no need to do so. But I have said sorry to his children as they were hurt that I had written Shah Rukh`s name that was given to a dog.”

Even after such teasing comment Shah Rukh said he has no grudges for Aamir. According to him, “We often visit each other’s home and we have love and respect for each other. I don’t think there was any need for him to apologize because it is not really a big thing for me. Both of us don’t take these things seriously but it is the media that exaggerates the whole situation.”

Aamir, who is known for his blunt remarks, once hurt SRK’s fan when he blogged that he had a dog named Shah Rukh who licks his feet. The comment hurt SRK as well as his kids who are Amir Khan’s fan.

However when Aamir came to know that his comment hurt SRK’s kids he immediately apologize to them. Now Aamir has started calling his dog Shaaki instead of Shah Ruhk.

In an event Aamir said, “I was upset to hear that Shah Rukh`s children were unhappy with me. I had no intention of hurting them. I have stopped calling the dog by its earlier name”.

‘Terrorism Has No Religion’ Says Shah Rukh Khan

Delhi witnessed a memorable Sunday evening yesterday. A huge public event was organized near India Gate. Big personalities from the world of Art and Literature were present there. Superstar of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan was also present at the event. Shah Rukh said, “There is no religion of terrorism”.

He added, “Indian civilization does not distinguish in terms of religion. We are an impossible achievement in the world and I’m very proud to be an Indian”. The event was held at the sprawling lawns of the India Gate and focused on the nation’s unity against terrorism.

Shah Rukh Khan said, “No one can have two viewpoints about terrorism. There is no religion of terrorism. I am often asked my viewpoint on this, maybe because I am a Muslim and I am very proud to be a Muslim”. He continued, “But I have read The Quran, listened to The Gita, acted in Ram Leela…. and learnt Christianity besides being a Muslim…my friends and I have worked on a film on Buddha (‘Asoka’) and my wife is a Punjabi”.

Apart from SRK a lot of other glittering stars were present at the event. School children and political leaders participated in the event to mark “A Nation in Solidarity against Terror”. The entire event, hosted by Actress/Filmmaker/Activist Nandita Das, was organized by Ministry Of Home Affairs.

The VIP guests that were present include Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Chief Minister of Delhi Mrs. Sheila Dikshit, Lyricist Javed Akhtar, Journalist Shekhar Gupta, Shooter Abhinav Bindra and Tennis Player Sania Mirza.

Singers Shreya Ghoshal, Kavita Krishnamurty Iyer, Shankar Mahadevan and Violinist Dr. L. Subramanium performed at the event. The program was with a message “Terror Has No Religion, Our Solidarity, Courage and Resoluteness are the answers to the terror” which was directed by Feroz Abbas Khan.
