Tiger to Roar Again on Friday

According to the latest buzz, ace golfer Tiger Woods will face media again on this Friday. He is expected to talk about his future plans after the humiliating sex scandal that forced him to go into isolation.

Tiger Woods’ agent told on Wednesday that the 34-year-old golfer will speak at 11 am on Friday at the clubhouse at the TPC Sawgrass. He is likely to discuss his PGA Tour return at Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg said that he will make his statement to a select group of media, with one television camera to relay the event live, but he won’t take any questions.

According to Steinberg, “While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between him and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him. He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends, and that’s what he’s going to discuss.”

He also clarified, “His remarks will be open to a press pool for live coverage. It is NOT a news conference.”

The 14-time major champion has taken an indefinite break from the game since he accepted the charges of infidelity.

About his return, the British Open champion Stewart Cink said, “It’s encouraging that he’s coming back to at least be seen by the public, and the rest of us, too. I don’t know what he’s going to talk about. I think this is maybe the beginning of the comeback process for him. It will be good to see Tiger’s face again and see that he’s actually out there somewhere.”

Well it’s great that Tiger Woods is coming back to Golf. Let’s see if he can create the same magic in the game that has become synonymous with his name.

The 24 year old Grubbs discloses: “It’s hard to be sexy and still maintain class but that’s what I tried to do.”

Former cocktail waitress, Grubbs added that she would like to play herself if the Woods’ sex scandal gets Hollywood treatment.

She also said, “I’d want someone like Brad Pitt to play Tiger.”

Tiger Woods Donates $ 3 M for Relief Work in Haiti

Forgetting own troubles, Tiger Woods is sending help to Haitian earthquake victims. The star golfer is reportedly donating $ 3 million to send a cargo plane with a mobile hospital through Wyclef Jean Haiti relief group Yele. Wyclef Jean is a Haitian born musician, whose nonprofit organization has raised more than $ 1 m to provide relief to Haitian people.

The 34-year-old golfer is currently facing criticism from everywhere due to his infidelity. Woods has not been seen in public since he accepted the charges of infidelity. Though he is hiding from media but he came forward to help the poor people of Haiti.

The news of Wood’s donation was disclosed by US musician Russell Simmons. The 52 year old, musician is regular Twitter user. He posted a message on Twitter of Woods’ generous donation as, “Tiger Woods is doing something amazing! I heard Tiger Woods is donating to send a cargo plane with a mobile hospital [to Haiti]. Keep your prayers high!”

Explaining about Woods’ donation, which would total $3 million, Russell said, “Tiger is working on sending a mobile hospital with 50 EMTs to go set up a triage. I am just asking for his heart and his hand. Just to meet the needs of the people.”

A sex video of Tiger Woods and one of his mistresses has been passed on to his wife’s lawyer. According to a source, the video features Woods kissing and cuddling the unnamed woman during a California tryst “in the past year”. Reportedly, the video was captured by a car park security camera.

The tape was shot on a day, when Woods told Elin he would be in Las Vegas for a charity event. Family law specialist Raoul Felder said, “If Tiger’s wife has photos of him and a mistress, she’s going to take him to the cleaners”. Another video featuring Woods with a girl in a sports car has been offered to US TV.

Wood’s Scandal Causes up to $12 Billion Damage to Shareholders

According to the research of two economics’ professors from the University of California, Victor Stango and Christopher Knittel, the sex scandal of Tiger Woods caused damages up to $12 Billion to the shareholder of companies endorsed by the No.1 golfer.

The study released on Monday, 28 December, estimated that the damage to Woods’ main sponsors caused by revelations of alleged extramarital affairs was approximately $12 billion.

The researchers Victor and Christopher said, “We estimate that shareholders of Tiger Woods’ sponsors lost $5-12 billion after his car accident, relative to shareholders of firms that Mr. Woods does not endorse.”

They also added, “Our analysis makes clear that while having a celebrity of Tiger Woods’ stature as an endorser has undeniable upside, the downside risk is substantial, too,”

Tiger Woods is considered as the world’s wealthiest athlete. He used to earn approximately $100 million a year from endorsement deals before his troubles. But when, on December 11 he confessed the “infidelity” charges to his wife Elin Nordegren, some of his sponsors backed away from him (like Gatorade drinks of PepsiCo Inc.).

The researchers studied sponsors of Tiger Woods including Accenture; AT&T; Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf (Electronic Arts); Gillette (Proctor and Gamble); Nike; Gatorade (PepsiCo); TLC Laser Eye Centers and evaluated the estimated damages by their stock prices that were available, through quoted prices for the parent companies.

Overall, Knittel and Stango concluded that the scandal reduced shareholder’s value in the sponsor companies by 2.3 percent, or about $12 billion.

Tiger Woods and His Family Visited by Department of Children and Families

The Department of Children and Families from Florida paid a special visit to Tiger Woods and his family which includes his wife Elin Nordegren and two kids, Sam and Charlie on Friday, 11 December.

The Department of Children and Families is an organization which protects children and families from the domestic violence. They also evaluate the safety of children as well as adults whose family is going through a rough phase.

According to the reports the visit was paid on an account of an anonymous complaint, which was probably lodged due to the incident of Woods’ car crash which was alleged to happen after Tiger and Elin’s argument over his affair with Rachel Uchitel.

Access Hollywood has obtained the news of the visit from the Sheriff’s Department who accompanied the children’s welfare organization in the visit to Tiger Woods’ family.

A representative from The Sheriff’s Department told Access Hollywood that they are prohibited to discus the reason for the visit, which individuals were being contacted or details of the complaint received by the DCF.

According to a report, the officials of DCF stayed with Tiger Woods and his family for about an hour and evaluated the safety of the home for the children in the wake of domestic violence.

Tiger Woods Accepts “Infidelity”, Takes “Indefinite” Break From Golf

After facing so many alleged extramarital affairs, at last Tiger Woods has accepted the charges of “infidelity”. Along with this, the golfer has also announced an “indefinite” break from golf.

On 11 December, Friday afternoon Woods posted a statement on his website in which the star golfer confessed for first time that he has been unfaithful.

In the statement, the 33 year old Woods wrote, “I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children,” Woods wrote in the post. “I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I’ve done, but I want to do my best to try.”

The last two weeks were toughest for Tiger Woods as many (around 9-10 women) women claimed to be his mistress. But he offers his gratitude to those people who stood by him in these adverse situations.

He wrote that, “I would like to ask everyone, including my fans, the good people at my foundation, business partners, the PGA Tour, and my fellow competitors, for their understanding. What’s most important now is that my family has the time, privacy, and safe haven we will need for personal healing.”

The ace golfer added that, “After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person,” Woods’ statement continued. “Again, I ask for privacy for my family and I am especially grateful for all those who have offered compassion and concern during this difficult period.”
