Charlize Theron’s Kiss Won by A Woman in an Auction for $140,000

South African-born actress Charlize Theron auctioned her kiss for USD 140,000. But the interesting thing was that the winning bidder was a woman. The 34 year old actress took part in a live auction during a gala for the charity OneXOne, on Thursday in San Francisco.

She was initially selling a 2010 trip to South Africa that included World Cup tickets, a safari and a meet-and-greet with Nelson Mandela. Reportedly, she raised the stakes after bidding stalled at USD37, 000.

To make the deal interesting, she offered up a seven-second kiss for $130,000 to a male bidder, but a woman in the audience quickly bettered the deal with a USD140, 000 bids.

Reportedly, the actress was shocked, who is having long-term courtship with her boyfriend Stuart Townsend. She joked before the smooch by saying, “My boyfriend is not here tonight”.

The smooch lasted for 20 seconds. I wonder which one of the two enjoyed it the most.

Theron Escapes from Paparazzi for Filming Nude Scene

Charlize Theron used great planning to make sure that paparazzi didn’t crash at the time when she was filming her nude scene for her upcoming “The Burning Plain”. The Oscar winner actress was in tension and was smoking through a wide open window while making an eye on the tress passers.

The actress had shed her entire cloths for the scene. The bosses were worried about the photographers might catch the star naked once. So, they changed the timing and the shooting location to keep the scene secret.

Guillermo Arriaga, the director of the film said, “we had to shoot the scene at 6 a.m. before any photographer were up. It was done in such secrecy that it wasn’t even scripted. Only three people including myself knew it was going to be happening”.

Hollywood beauty Charlize Theron has joined the likes of Jessica Biel, Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson by being awarded the ultimate title of sexiest woman alive.

The 32-year-old South African star won an Oscar after her outstanding performance as serial killer Aileen Wuornos in the 2003 film Monster, is Esquire magazine’s sexiest woman alive. The issue featuring Theron hits newsstands Oct. 16.

But she was quoted as saying that it’s not her looks that have helped her in making good career choices. Theron also talked about her political interests and her work, including her latest movie, “In the Valley of Elah”; a murder mystery set among U.S. troops newly returned from Iraq.

Theron also candidly discussed her least favorite film, “Reindeer Games.” "Reindeer Games," she laughed. "That was a bad, bad, bad movie. But … I got to work with John Frankenheimer. I wasn’t lying to myself — that’s why I did it. I mean, he directed The Manchurian Candidate, which is like the movie of all movies."

Theron, who will next be seen in the anti-globalism drama The Battle for Seattle, directed by her Irish boyfriend Stuart Townsend, also took a swipe at the US government.

"I grew up in a country that learned the lesson that you can’t impose your way of life on 26 different kinds of people just because you call yourself righteous," she said.

"I think there are lessons this country still has to learn."
