Did Usain Bolt Use Drugs for Breaking the World Record

Usain Bolt After Breaking the 100m World RecordExactly one year after Bolt broke the 100m World Record at the Beijing Olympics, Usain Bolt has run 9.58 seconds to win the 100m final at the IAAF World Track Championships in Berlin.

Usain Bolt’s new record is .11 seconds faster than his time from Beijing. Some physicists had earlier predicted after the Beijing Olympics that Bolt could break that record if he kept racing for the entire 100 meters.

But some people have raised doubts on the Jamaican sprinters performance and are alleging that Bolt might have used some kind of performance enhancement drugs.

“I keep telling everybody I’m clean,” he said. “If they don’t believe me, there’s nothing I can do.”

Usain Bolt has never tested positive, but five other Jamaicans are facing an appeal hearing after testing positive for a substance that is not on the banned list, but is similar in composition to a stimulant on the banned list.

Bolt, said: “I don’t get offended because I know year after year people run fast and then they test positive, so I know it’s going to be in the sport. I’m trying to clean it up and then people will know you don’t have to take something to run fast.”
