Justin Timberlake Becomes “The Most Charitable Star of 2009”

Justin Timberlake has raised almost USD 10 million to help the sick children. Reportedly, the former boy band member has been named the most charitable star of 2009. According to a survey done by US website, the former boy band member has been named the most influential celebrity for charitable causes.

A source revealed that, Timberlake has raised USD 9,198,072 for Shriners Hospitals for Children. The donated amount has gone particularly to the sick children admitted in the hospital. Madonna comes second in the list. She has gathered funds of USD 5,501,835 for her Raising Malawi foundation. Pamela Anderson has been positioned as the third most charitable celebrity of 2009. She has raised USD 4,806,750 for animal rights organization People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

The top five names from the list have been rounded out by Oprah Winfrey and her Oprah’s Angel Network.
