Madonna Donates USD 250K for Haiti Earthquake Victims
Pop singer Madonna has donated 250,000 US dollars for Haiti earthquake victims. The Island was shaken by a powerful earthquake on 12 January after which thousands of people died and injured.
The 51 year old singer has also urged her fans and friends to raise the donations to provide relief to the poor people of Haiti.
In a statement, Madonna said that her prayers are with the people of Haiti. She said that she donated the money to ‘Partners In Health’, a longtime health care provider there.
She has appealed her fans around the world, “to join me collectively to match my contribution or give in any way you can.”
