Madonna Receives Compensation for Publishing Her Wedding Pictures
Madonna has accepted damages from a Publication House for publishing her wedding pictures with Guy Ritchie. Reportedly, those pictures had been stolen from her home.
The singer’s lawyer confirmed the news that she finally got her ‘substantial’ damages from Associated Newspapers. The money amount was not disclosed. But according to a source, Madonna, who was divorced from Ritchie earlier this year, had sought damages in excess of $8 million.
A source added, an interior designer who was working at Madonna’s home in Beverly Hills in California copied at least 27 photos from the weddingalbum. The designer provided those pictures to a woman who offered to sell them.
Another source said the newspaper initially turned down the offer, but bought the pictures last year after Madonna and Ritchie announced that they would divorce.
