Michael Jackson Achieves Third Place in ‘Top- Earning Dead Celebrities’ List

Michael Jackson still rules the hearts of his fans and audiences, the earnings of his records after his death tells the story clearly. But he is not the one who tops the list in terms of earnings of dead celebrities.

In the annual list of “Top-Earning Dead Celebrities,” the Forbes Magazine published that Saint Laurent earned maximum amount of money after his death approximately $350 million. Saint Laurent died due to the brain cancer in June 2008.

Yves St Laurent who was the French fashion designer and icon, his earning came from the auctions of his precious possessions run by Christie’s house.

The second place of the list is secured by the legendary duo Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein of Broadway (both died in 1979 and 1960, respectively). The earnings of both combined $235 million after death because of catalog licensing fees.

MJ who died on 25 June 2009, his earnings within 4 months is $90 million. So Forbes places him on third position. The king of rock Elvis Presley with $55 million is on the fourth place.

The other celebrities in the list are J.R.R. Tolkien, Charles Schulz, John Lennon, Theodor Geisel (Dr. Seuss), Albert Einstein, Michael Crichton.
