Missing Actor Andrew Koenig Found Dead

According to the latest Hollywood news, the missing actor Andrew Koenig was found dead by the Police in an isolated area of a park in Vancouver.

Andrew Koenig was missing since February 14, when he last met his friend in Vancouver apartment. He was reported missing four days later, when his father received despondent letter from his son in Los Angeles. In a news conference, grieved father, Walter Koenig told reporters, “Our son took his own life”.

The 41 year old actor, Koenig starred in the 198Os television comedy “Growing Pains”. He is also remembered for his role of Lieutenant Pavel Chekov in the original “Star Trek” TV series.

Earlier, due to Koenig’s disappearance, his friends including actress Alyssa Milano, actor Kirk Cameron and comedian Sara Silverman posted comments online and put out statements seeking information about their friend.

On his father’s website, Koenig’s parents posted a long description of their son, including the fact that he had been suffering from clinical depression when he disappeared.

Walter Koenig said, after a week of searching, Vancouver police tried their last sweep of search in Stanley Park, which is a tourist attraction, they found his son’s body on Thursday noon.

Koenig was also active in social causes and was arrested in 2008 for protesting US involvement in the Beijing Olympics.
