MJ’s Private Funeral Costs Nearly $1 Million
Pop king Michael Jackson’s private family funeral had a price tag of $1 Million. The budget is very much apt for such a royal funeral ceremony.
According to a court’s document, it is showed that his mother, his brother Randy, and sister Janet were involved in the planning and mindful of the huge amount of media attention that was lavished on the Sept. 3 funeral.
Reportedly Jackson’s mother has applied for the lavish funeral costs to the estate’s administrators. And Jackson family was granted $1 million, for costs which included burial, flowers, cars, security and a post-funeral dinner.
According to a source, the private ceremony for the King of Pop was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif. It was held weeks after a public tribute to the singer at Staples Center.
