Overwhelmed Lisa Ray Thanks India for the Support
The model turns actress Lisa Ray, who is suffering from an incurable cancer thanked India for the support.
Few days back Lisa shared this news in her blog – ‘The Yellow Diaries’ that she has been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the white blood cells known as plasma cells, which produce antibodies. She has started her first cycle of treatment.
This cancer-stricken actress was born in Canada but she is deeply connected to India, as her father is a Bengali so it’s really tough for her to forget her roots easily and she loves India as much as Indians love her. Lisa shows her respect and affection for India and thanked all the Indians for the love and support she has received her in her crucial time.
Buzz up!“It’s 6:30 am and I have not slept. That’s another thing about steroids. They make you really hyper. And I blame you India. You have sent me so much love. And advice. So I went through each and every message. Like the good, dutiful half-Bengali daughter I am. Except I’m not studying for my medical finals, I’m looking at each and every word you have sent,” she wrote on her blog.
After seeing the huge response to her article the svelte beauty is humbled. “Thank you to my friends and colleagues there who have reached out or expressed their support. I send love and hope to connect with each of you in the real world,” she wrote.
