Reality Turned Vulgarity Show ‘Bigg Boss’ Gets Government Notice
Once again ‘Bigg Boss 3’ is in the news, this time for vulgar and abusive behavior of its participants. Earlier Kamal R Khan’s abusive language and violent behavior created trouble in the show but after his exit the trouble seems yet not over for the channel Colors.
The Information and Broadcasting Ministry sent a notice on Monday to channel Colors for “offending good taste” with vulgar and abusive behavior of inmates.
A source said “It has been brought to the notice of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting that certain parts of the reality show? Bigg Boss 3` telecast and re-telecast on Colors channel offend against good taste and decency and are not suitable for unrestricted public exhibition,”
According to the notice the show’s participants are using abusive language and some of the telecasted part was too vulgar to air on national channel according to the government’s programme code.
Bigg Boss has showed some scenes in which participants are swimming in the pool and acting vulgarly with each other. Notice says, “This has offended the sensibilities of many viewers,”
According to the Cable TV network (regulation) act 1995 if the channel will not answer to the notice in 5 days or promote vulgarity, the government will stop the telecast of the show.
It seems as if the TRP increasing stunt has become a trouble for the show.
